Alicia Silverstone

Alicia Silverstone was born on October 4, 1976 at San Francisco, California to Didi Silverstone, a former Airline Stewardess and father Monty Silverstone, a Real Estate Investor. Alicia spent some of her summers as a child in England whilst having a Jewish up-bringing in the San Francisco bay area. She has two older siblings and she also owns a dog named Samson, who is part rottweiler, part doberman and part pitbull. At the age of 6, Alicia received a series of modeling jobs. Soon thereafter, she appeared in a Domino's Pizza television commercial and then, who could forget her guest appearance as Kevin's (Fred Savage) dream girl on The Wonder Years?

Her first on-screen debut was the movie The Crush in 1993, opposite Cary Elwes. This led to her being cast in three Aerosmith music videos boosting her popularity. She also won roles in a couple of TV movies allowing her to co-star with recognised actors such as Raquel Welch and Tyne Daly. When she did Clueless in 1995 she almost didn't do it because she didn't want to look like her character. It was a Beverly Hills girl, dumb blond, and of course bitchy. Finally she was convinced and played that role and to her utter surprise actually got a couple of awards.
